Chita R. Das received the M.S.c. degree in electrical engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, India, in 1981 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Center for Advanced Computer Studies, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in 1986.

"We work hard, but we also play hard," she says. The Acadiana area's numerous festivals, restaurants, and cultural events make it a great place to live while you study. "Looking back, I wouldn't choose to go to any other graduate school," she says. "CACS is like home to me."
